History of KEA

According to mythology, Kea was called “Hydrousa” for its waters and dense vegetation. The myth say that the Nymphs who lived in the forests of the island abandoned the island and since then Sirius, the brightest star of the heavenly dome, has not only destroyed Hydrousa but all the Cyclades.

The island of Kea (or Tzia) is the closest to the Attica Cycladic Island, making it ideal for nearby excursions but not only. The beaches of Kea are characteristic and are formed by the intense relief of the island that creates small bays. Tzia has many beaches despite its small size and most of them are organized.
